I am an Austin-based writer and researcher. My book-in-progress examines the creative lives of famous artists and scientists in history…who also happened to be parents. I also teach classes on writing and U.S. history at St. Edward’s University.

My career-long goal is to create accessible, public conversations at the intersection of the arts and sciences. I’ve taught classes on “Literature and Biology” to college undergraduates and blogged about crocheted coral reefs and science raps. I believe that, in order to thrive as individuals, as a species, and as a planet, we need more opportunities to bridge disciplines, to develop humanistic coders and citizen scientists.
